hello! my screen name is chocochess (because it's my favorite print) and this is my lolita fashion blog. i'm twenty-three, a freelance comic artist and part timer by trade, and i live with my partner and cat in the midwest united states. outside of lolita, i'm also a tabletop RPG and video game geek. i'm also a lesbian and a spoonie (SPOONSBIAN?????) and talk about it on here sometimes. terminally unserious, unnecessarily verbose, and slightly obsessive -- these are all ways one could describe me.

i've been wearing the fashion on and off since around 2018, but started getting really into the hobby in summer of 2025, after graduating with my bachelor's and suddenly having the free time and funds to continue. i'm primarily a sweet wearer, and my favorite brand is angelic pretty, specifically during the early to mid-2010s. (2010s baby and metamorphose are distant seconds.) i'm an obsessive collector of angelic pretty's chocolate prints and novelty dishware! cute frills make me feel like a badass and help me be confident in the face of an often daunting world.
