impromptu dinner date

  

i've been a bit down lately, so my lovely partner took me out on a dinner date!

my partner got me this dress for my birthday about a month ago, and i hadn't yet gotten an opportunity to wear it out. a date with them seemed like an appropriate occasion to do so. my white boots also arrived today so it was a perfect opportunity to wear them as well!

 

i love seafood, but don't get many opportunities to eat it because 1 - expensive and 2 - my partner's not so into it, so we compromise on no fish when we cook dinner. but because i wasn't feeling too hot, they very sweetly treated me to a sushi dinner. i haven't had any for about a year so i was soooo happyyy 

the sushi came with free miso soup, and i ordered a side of takoyaki because i sorely miss the takoyaki i ate all the time in college. x_x

 

after dinner we ran some errands we'd been putting off, then went home and hung out. i had a really fun evening with them and it really lifted my spirits to get dressed up and spend time with them.
